So, I have a truck again! Well, only technically. WisDOT let me transfer the truck plates onto the Bonneville. All the paperwork is legit and approved by the state.

So I have a Buick Century on car plates, and a Pontiac Bonneville on 6000lb. GVWR truck plates. Should get me some interesting looks.

In all fairness the Bonneville was kind of truck like for size. What year do you have? I had a 91 and that thing was a tank.

Isn't there higher taxes and/or registration for truck plates?

Yes. Cars and class A truck (4500lb. GVWR) are $75/yr. Class B Truck (6000lb. GVWR) is $84/yr. But I’m planning on only keeping them on it until they expire in May.
